• Raise the issue
• Don’t assume the group is always right
• Don’t assume the boss is always right
• Don’t assume the expert is always right
• Don’t just point it out
• Offer suggestions as to why you think you have a problem
• Identify how the problem could have arisen
• Place the problem in context of the three reasons for moral reasoning in journalism (philosophy, politics, and economics)
• Offer alternatives
